23 October 2019

The European project IoT4DigitalTwin, led by Geprom Connecting Industries and Gefasoft GmbH, has held its kick-off meeting at the Celsa facilities in Illescas. The meeting represented the official launch of the project and was attended by representatives of all the members of the consortium, from the technical to the innovation departments.

The main objectives of the meeting were a visit to the plant and an analysis of the situation, followed by the planning of the project itself. The lines of action to be carried out during the months of the project were established, including the short- and long-term objectives, and the technical specifications of the technologies involved. Project members have also shared their visions and strategies to ensure the success of the project.

The main objective of the IoT4DigitalTwin project is the creation of a complete digital twin project for Celsa, through the installation of the Legato Sapient MES platform, in order to increase the efficiency of their operations and create a true smart factory.
